LAUNCH Tsensor-05N: Features Introduction and FAQ

LAUNCH Tsensor 03 vs Tsensor 05N

LAUNCH Tsensor-05N is a new generation tire pressure sensor from LAUNCH Technology. Use LAUNCH CRT5011 V2 or CRT5011E to activate, program and relearn LAUNCH Tsensor-05N.

NOTE: The software of your TPMS service tool should be upgraded to the latest version. LAUNCH CRT5011 V2 need TPMS software V10.53 or above, Main APP V1.25 or above; LAUNCH CRT5011E need software V1.48 or above.

LAUNCH Tsensor-05N Q & A:

Q: Activation Fails.

A: 1. Confirm the vehicle model menu is selected correctly by checking that the OE sensor part number matches the one provided in the tool.

2. If the menu is correct and the tool is placed at the proper activation position, but the sensor still fails to respond. The sensor is likely defective and should be replaced.

Q: Entering System Failed.

A: This issue usually indicates that the TPMS module is faulty or there are wiring problems. If the TPMS module is damaged, diagnostic functions cannot work properly, and the system cannot be accessed, so activation will also fail.

In this case, use the X-431 diagnostic tablet to scan the system. If the TPMS system still cannot be entered, or TPMS-related fault codes appear, then further check the TPMS module and its wiring condition.

Q: Incorrect Sensor Installation on JAC Refine S7.

A: Use the X-431 diagnostic tablet or a TPMS service tool to enter the “Active” page, then activate the sensors one by one in the correct sequence: [LF -> RF -> RR -> LR], so that four sensor IDs can be read. After that, perform the Relearn procedure.

(Tip: Write down the IDs on waterproof labor paper to avoid mistakes during the programming process.)

Q: Tire Pressure Normal but TPMS Light Remains On (in Porsche Dashboard).

A: This issue is usually caused by a slight pressure differenceubetween tires. Enter the Tire Pressure page and switch to the Pressure Difference page. Adjust the inflation by slightlyadding or releasing air until the pressure difference fails within the acceptable range, and the warning light will disappear.

Q: TPMS Light Still On After Successful Replacement.

A: This issue is usually caused by electromagnetic interference from nearby electronic devices, such as GPS units, MP3 players, dash cameras, or navigation systems. These devices may disturb the RF signal transmission between the TPMS sensors and the vehicle’s ECU, resulting in false TPMS warnings. Try turning off or relocating these devices and check if the warning light disappears.

Q: Drive Relearn(Self-Relearn)

A: Many modern vehicles support Drive Relearn. The general procedure is as follows:

– Keep the vehicle parked and locked for about 20 minutes.

– Keep the key at least 5 meters away from the vehicle.

– Perform a drive test at around 30km/h until the TPMS values return to normal.

(Tip: Some vehicles(e.g. BMW. Tesla, Porsche, etc) require a TPMS reset on the dashboard before performing the drive test.)
