This is a tutorial on how to do cylinder cutout test on Foton with LAUNCH X431 PAD V Elite.

This function diagnoses and eliminates failure of cylinder misfire by cutting off cylinder.
Initial condition:
- Engnine running
- A/C off
- Engine fan locked at “ON” position
- Engine coolant temperature above 140 DegF (60 DegC)
To re-enable all cylinders after testing:
Click “Restore All” or “Stop” to stop the test and restore all cylinders.
Note:
When you select a cylinder, the cylinder number represents the cylinder position number, not its firing order.

Additional informaiton:
During this test, if lost communication with ECM, please turn off key switch and re-enter diagnostic software to resume the cylinder.
Check the RPM’s and the condition of the vehicle.
Here we can test each cylinder in turns on X431 PAD V.
