
Some users will be prompted “This serial number has not activated the commercial vehicle privilege” when using LAUNCH X431 SmartLink HD (Truck Module) for the first time. When this happens, it means that SmartLink has not been activated yet and needs to be activated on the X431 series diagnostic tool. Please refer to the steps below.
Take X431 PAD V as an example. The first use of SmartLink should be activated on PAD V:
Stay connected to the Internet, open X-431 APP, and select [User Info].
Fill in the SmartLink Serial Number and Activation Code in the [Activate VCI] column (these two numbers are written on the package, refer to the instructions below the menu bar).
