When your BMW vehicle has a sunroof failure, or a LAUNCH X431 PAD V ELITE diagnostic fault code (DTC 080215) appears, you can refer to this article to reset the sunroof (normalize the sunroof) and clear the DTC Code.
NOTE: X431 PRO3 series and PRO5 tools also support BMW vehicle sunroof reset, you can also refer to this article for operation.
Function Description:
The sunroof normalization needs to be performed when the FZD system reports the DTC: 080215.
DTC Codes: 080215 “SHD: No Normalization.”
Operation process
1. Connecting the vehicle and X431 PAD V ELITE, Click the special function [Normalise Slide/Tilt Sunroof] on PAD V ELITE.
2. Click [F1. Perform Standardization Procedure].
3. Normalization setting in process.
4. Confirm the ignition switch status.
5. Normalization setting ended successfully, and no DTC appears.
6. The service function is finished.
7. Access the FZD system to read DTCs.
There is no DTC, and the work is completed.
