This is a tutorial on how to clone 2016-2017 Land Rover MED17.9.7 engine with Launch X431 ECU & TCU Programmer on bench. You can do the same programming with X-PROG 3 + PC Adaptor as well.
Open X431 ECU & TCU Programmer software to search ECU model.
Make: Jaguar
Model: F-Pace 2016-2017
Engine: 1999 240
ECU: MED17.9.7 TC1767
Click “Direct connection of diagram” to get wiring diagram. Follow the diagram to connect Launch X431 programmer and the engine module.
Click “Read chip ID” to read information.
Read EEPROM data >> Save EEPROM data.
Read FLASH data >> Save FLASH data
Write EEPROM data >> Select the EEPROM data file to load
Data is successfully written.
Write FLASH data >> Select the FLASH data file to load
Data is successfully written.
Click “Disconnect” to complete.
