Launch CRT5011E is used for TPMS sensor activation, reading, learning and programming. It can help you detect whether the tire pressure sensor is normal, and replace the tire pressure sensor.
Below we will take the 2017 Porsche Macan as an example to introduce how to use Launch CRT5011E to detect and replace the tire pressure sensor.
Check TPMS sensor:
(You can change the pressure unit and language in the Main Menu -> Set Up option)
Choose a Tire Pressure System
Find Porsche in the model list, and select Macan.
Select the range from 2014 to 2022 year(The frequency is 433 MHZ).
After selecting the model, select function: Check Sensor
Trigger against the valve nozzle as shown.
You can see the other three are normal Abnormal left rear tire pressure sensor.
After knowing that the vehicle’s tire pressure sensor has a problem, we can replace the sensor. There are two options: LAUNCH LTR-03 RF Sensor, or the vehicle’s original sensor.
Solution 1: LAUNCH LTR-03 RF Sensor
Select Program Sensor >> Manual Input/ copy ID by OBD
1. Write the left rear sensor ID of the original car into the tire pressure sensor under Launch. You can see the message of programming success.
2. Follow the tire pressure sensor installation instructions to put a new sensor in the left rear tire of the car. Select “Check Sensor” on the function screen.
3. Then trigger 4 tire pressure sensors against the valve ports. The left rear has been successfully replaced by the new Launch tire pressure sensor.
4. Clear the trouble code.
Solution 2: Vehicle original sensor
This tire pressure sensor in Turi is ID D2319C3E.
1. Select “Check Sensor” on the function screen.
2. Trigger 4 tire pressure sensors against the valve port. You can see that the left rear tire pressure sensor is the new ID.
3. Return to select “Relearn >> OBD Relearn”.
4. Take out the OBDII diagnostic main line according to the prompts, and connect the vehicle OBDII diagnostic socket to the 5011E device.
Finally, it is recommended to use LAUNCH series TPMS sensors or original sensors. Other third-party brand sensors may not be compatible with LAUNCH CRT5011E.
