As can be seen from the chart, the main difference in PRO3 V+ ELITE hardware is VCI. PRO3 V+ ELITE is equipped with SmartLink C, while X431 V+ 5.0 uses the old DBSCar VII.
SmartLink gives PRO3 V+ ELITE more possibilities:
SmartLink integrates the truck diagnostic module, making it unnecessary to use HD3 VCI when diagnosing heavy trucks. It also allows PRO3 V+ ELITE to support D-PDU/ RP1210, J2534, and DoIP protocol without additional cables. These are all things that X431 V+ 5.0 cannot do.
It is worth mentioning that the X431 FIX function (CarSET PRO database)/ Renault SGW/ European professional software package that was previously only available for PAD V ELITE/ PAD VII ELITE and PRO5 can now be purchased and used by PRO3 V+ ELITE (the old DBSCAR VII does not support Renault’s new DOIP protocol, but Smartlink can).
