This is a tutorial on how to use Launch X431 IMMO Plus/ X431 IMMO Elite to program Mazda all smart keys lost by OBD. To complete the procedure, you’ll need to prepare at least 2 smart keys for matching.
Procedure
Connect X431 IMMO Plus to OBD:
IMMO >> Mazda >> OK >> Anti-Theft Key Matching >> Automatically Search
Set the ignition switch to ON(Position II)
Confirm VIN, press “Yes”.
Immobilizer Key Programming(Express Edition) >> All Smart Keys Are Lost
Note:
- All keys will be cleared.
- At least 2 keys are needed to complete the key matching.
Press “OK”.
Set the ignition switch to ON(Position II).
Current number of registered keys: 0
Turn off the ignition switch.
Note:
Turn on the ignition switch.
When Start button indicator light turns green(within 5s), keep smart key label side touching Start button!
Current number of registered keys: 1
Press “Yes” to match another one. Repeat same operation as before.
Current number of registered keys: 2
Successfully matched.
Press “No” to complete.
You need to complete the following steps to start the engine:
- Turn off the ignition switch.
- Press brake, touch each newly matched key on Start button, start engine for 3s, then turn ignition switch off.
At least 2 matched keys are needed to start engine.
Turn on the ignition switch.
Current number of registered keys: 2
Press brake if you drive automatic, press clutch if you drive manual. And keep smart key label side touching Start button.
Current number of registered keys: 3
Successfully matched, press “No” to complete.
You need to complete the following steps to start the engine:
Turn off the ignition switch.
Press brake, touch each newly matched key on Start button, start engine for 3s, then turn ignition switch off.
Press “Parameter Reset”.
Warning:
Only when new powertrain control module(PCM) or anti-theft system(PATS control module) is replaced. Can this function be used to sync keys, make sure replacement is made?
Press “OK”.
Turn on the ignition switch.
Configuring the system… please wait.
Function complete.
If smart start unit is replaced, you need to rematch 2 keys to start the vehicle.
